Chinnock Cigars: A Moment With Brian Chinnock
Latest News: Chinnock Cellars Cigar and Limited Edition “Terroir” cigar
Brian Chinnock is a wine maker in Napa Valley and has released his own cigar line with blends designed to compliment the complexity of a wine. William Herrera, previously of El Titan de Bronze and currently the newest addition to Drew Estate, is the master blender behind Chinnock Cigars. (If you haven’t already heard of Willy Herrera, you will soon and will want to be on the look out for all the exciting new projects this very talented master blender is working on. Chinnock Cellars cigars is no exception, either.)
Chinnock Cellars Cigars are medium bodied, aromatic, and flavorful cigars that compliment a glass of wine without overpowering the wine or the palate. His “Little Havana” cigar is one that left a beautiful impression on me, and is one I keep thinking about now (and craving).
Released this year is the Limited Edition “Terroir” cigar which is medium to full bodied and comes in a 6 x 52 Torpedo size. In wine, Terroir describes local growing areas with particular soil and weather conditions which give unique character qualities to the crops produced from the land. Here Terroir takes a similar definition with tobacco. The focus of this cigar is to use the best qualities of each region for a balanced and flavorful smoke.
Chinnock Cellars Cigars are presented in a beautiful Barrel Box, complimenting their inspiration from wine. Each box also comes with a card of certification from the roller, showing his level of skill and giving you a personal connection to the person who hand rolled your cigar.
